Especially important is to also contact Washington DC and support the City's need for funding of the 120,000 Asylum seekers created by the Federal initiative to open our Southern Border. This is not political. This is reality.
Secondly, the City needs help finding jobs for these people...just like prior immigrants who came through Ellis Island and then had hands to build NYC infrastructure.
Thank you to John Catsimatidis, Harry Dublinsky, and the Mayors staff for support of this important interview.

SUMMARY AND THEMES
John Catsimatidis first question was “What is your VISION to bring back New York to its height where it has always been? Everybody on this call loves New York. We want New York to be the “Greatest City in the World” like it has always been.
The Mayor replied with comments about the American Dream and becoming successful like John Catsimatidis, who he noted was an immigrant. But noted that this is only 50% of the journey for people on this call.
The Mayor referred to Harry Dublinsky and Collabnets support, and emphasized that he has always believed there was one thing to build on. PUBLIC SAFETYis critical to his vision. He said “Public Safety is a prerequisite to our prosperity, no matter how well we are doing as a city. If we are not safe, your children can not go to school safely. Your employees are not able to come into work safely. I will continue to drive down crime.”
Because of the 142,000 asylum seekers / immigrants, this has created some problems. He recognized the need to get work for these people and the need to build employment opportunities.
The Mayor asked that business leaders join with him to ask the Federal Government to help NYC fund the financial burden of the cities created by its open border policy.
John Catsimatidis suggested that the ELLIS ISLAND be re-opened, and as a model should be re-created.
Catsimatidis noted that “sometimes business people have trouble communicating with the Mayor's staff”. He asked how the city’s business people could connect with the Mayor's Office to offer ideas and assistance. Mayor Adams replied “They are not going to have trouble communicating with my staff”. That is #1 on his agenda, commenting that his administration makes it a “GSD” (Get Stuff Done) city. He mentioned several Deputy Mayors and Commissioners responsible for Housing, Economic Development, and others that will be available to business people.
Regarding onerous “Regulation”, the Mayor agreed. Then said that some of the regulations are beyond the scope of the Mayor.
The Mayor asked that business people at the ZOOM meeting communicate with the Federal Government. He said that it is very important to assist him to deal with the challenges we all face.
Regarding Congestion Pricing, the Mayor said that it was necessary because of Environmental considerations.
Many other important TOPICS were discussed.
PARTICIPANTS.
It's appropriate for Harry's CollabNet umbrella to have brought us together today, PLEASE be aware that we have gathered over 300 prominent members of over 40 business organizations from every corner of the city TO COME TOGETHER to start to craft a new VISION with the Mayor.
This meeting included executives and members of New York City's Chambers of Commerce, Partnerships, Real Estate organizations, Bids, Community Boards, Civic organizations, and all size Corporations. This is the inner core of business and professional people cutting across and representing all sectors, cultures, and spectrums that make up this diverse and tolerant fabric of 8 million residents and businesses.
The video recording will have the opening remarks of Arthur Rosenfield and comments by Harry Dublinsky.
